New Years in Morroco!

Day one​

Arrival

  • Merhaba! - Airport Pickup and Drop off from Marrakesh Airport (RAK)

  • Check-in anytime, arrive before 4pm

  • Evening Reception Dinner

  • Dinner at Hotel or Restaurant

 

Upon your arrival to Marrakecsh International Airport, your private driver and guide will be in front of the airport and holding a sign "MeWannaGo". You and your luggage will be escorted to our air-conditioned bus .  You will be transported to the Riad / or Hotel in the heart of the medina in Marrakech to relax and for your first night's stay in the beautiful country of Morocco!

And so begins your 10 day New Years Adventure in Morocco.

Day Two

Marrakech Sightseeing

  • Breakfast

  • Medina Market

  • Koutoubia Mosque

  • Saadian Tombs

  • Bahia Palace

  • Jardhin Majorelle botanical gardn

  • Djemaa El-Fna (main squore in Marrakech)

After breakfast, you will start exploring the heart of Marrakesh, one of the Country’s imperial cities  referred to as the Red city due of its sandstone buildings. Your local guide will introduce you to the city and take you to visit some of the most famous historic sites, museums and colorful souks, or markets of the medina including the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace and the Jardin Majorelle a botanical garden that blends art deco and Moorish features.

You will have time for lunch. Then, continuing your sightseeing of Marrakech by walking around the focal point of the Medina. Djemaa El-Fna is the main square. Here you can enjoy the theatre of the streets buzzing with snake charmers, musicians, acrobats, storytellers and magicians. In the evening you will have free time to enjoy the sunset overlooking the exciting Djemaa El-Fna Square from a restaurant terrace enjoy your dinner.  In the evening you will return back to your Riad/hotel.

Day Three

Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Boumalne Dades

After breakfast, around 8 am, our driver will pick you up from the accommodation and you will drive through the Atlas Passes. On the road we will make stops to enjoy the stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and Tizi N’tichka pass (2260m) as we continuing our way to reach Ait-Benhaddou Kasbah. This fortified walled city was built right on the caravan path between Marrakech and the Sahara and was once a thriving trading post during the 17th century. Inside the high mud walls are 6 Kasbahs and a small number of homes. Ait Benhaddou has appeared in several movies, including Gladiator & Lawrence of Arabia.

 

After lunch and a visit to the Kasbah we will drive to Boumalne Dades city though Ouarzazate, famed as the Hollywood of Africa, where we will stop to photograph Kasbah Taourirte. Later, we will drive through the palm groves of Skoura and valley of Roses. In the evening reach to Boumalne Dades with its beautiful valley where we will spend the first night, dinner and overnight in your Riad/hotel.

Day Four

Dades valley – Tinghir City – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Overnight in Desert Camp – Erg-Chebbi Sand Dunes (Merzouga)

After a traditional Moroccan breakfast we will start our Sahara desert tour from Boumalne Dades to Merzouga. In Boumalne we’ll enjoy the panoramic views of Dades valley. After that we will drive to Tinghir city where we can stop in the stunning Todra valley, lined with Berber villages and palm groves. Then, continuing to Todra Gorge a chilly and natural place with orange towering cliffs, the canyons of Todra Gorge are almost 1,000 feet deep. Also it’s a preferred place for the climbers, where we will take time to discover this incredible place.

​

In the afternoon we continue our travel to the Sahara desert along many Berber villages such as: Tinjdad, Melaab and Erfoud. You will have time for Lunch on our way. Once we arrive to the magical land of Erg-Chebbi sand dunes, you will take a camel trekking excurion across the beautiful unique orange colored sand dunes to desert camp. Here you will begin this great experience where you can feed your soul, enjoy the wonderful sunset from the middle of dunes. Dinner & overnight will be in a desert camp, music played and you can frolic on the sand dunes under zillions of stars.  Some might call it glamping.

Special New Years Eve Celebration:

We will spend new years in Merzouga of the Sahara Desert. The evening will start with a special New Years Dinner, followed by music provided by a local tribe, dancing, playing instruments, and a bonfire in the middle of the desert as we welcome in 2025!

Day Five

Desert Tour with 4×4 vehicle – Khamliya village – Nomad Family- Rissani market – Camel ride & Overnight in desert Riad

After breakfast, we will head to Rissani (Tafilalt), where will walk around the famous, traditional and biggest Market of the area exploring the local-made goods and art crafts. It’s better to visit Rissani in one of the following days: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. In these three days is souk, so these are good days in the desert area to do some local shopping.

We’ll time to have a delicious lunch in Local restaurant. Overnight and dinner will be in a Riad/Hotel in Merzouga.

Day Six

Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Midelt – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes

Today we recommend that you wake up early for one of the most incredible sunrises. After breakfast and a shower we will travel to Midelt along Erfoud, Aoufous, Ziz Valley, a green oasis full of thousands palms located in Errachidia where we will travel along Tizi N’talghoumte pass (1907m). Lunch will be in Midelt city followed by our journey to Fes via the Middle Atlas & cedar forest where you can see the barbarian monkeys. Also we’ll stop for a while in Ifrane city which is referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco” before we arrive at the oldest city in Morocco, Fes. At the end of the day we will drop you off at your Riad/hotel in the heart of the medina for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Day Seven

Explore Fes

After breakfast, you will start discovering the most historical and cultural city in Morocco. In Fes, “the spiritual city of Morocco”, you will visit the medina – the old city, with its architecture. Our guided tour in Fez includes many monuments such as: the Jewish Quarter (Mellah) and the Dar El Makhzen or Royal Palace with its colorful mosaicked architecture & golden doors. We will visit the famous Chaouwara Tanneries is the largest leather workshop in the city built in the 11th century. We will also visit the Kairaouine Mosque (the old school of Islamic learning), and also one or the oldest universities in the world. While non-Muslims cannot enter, you will be able to admire the mosque courtyard from the gates. The Najjarine Marble Fountain and Al-Attarine Madrassa is a religious school with some of the most striking Islamic architecture. The Bou Inania Medersa is one of Fes most architecturally beautiful theological colleges.

​

You will have time for lunch in Moroccan local restaurant. Afterward, you will be taken to Bab Boujloud archway where it's magnificent mosaics change color from blue on the exterior wall to green on the interior wall to spot the sacred color of Islam. You'll have the opportunity to stroll around the streets and markets of the medina. Later we will take you to the panoramic place for an amazing view over the sprawling medina of Fes El-Bali. This will be followed by dinner and overnight at the same Riad/hotel in the medina.

Day Eight

Fes – Chefchaouen (blue city)

  • Visit to Chefchaouen famous blue city

  • Rif Mountains

  • Plaza Uta El-Hammam

After breakfast, we will travel to Chefchaouen, also known “the blue Pearl” or "the blue city" through Ouazzan & Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen it is a very special and traditional Moroccan town surrounded by the Rif Mountains, in northwest, Morocco. It is Famous for the remarkable buildings in different shades of faded blue of its old town, which feels like a clean and elegant world. It has come to be known for its distinctive blue color that all the inhabitant use to paint their houses. There are traditions and beliefs that the color blue represent the sky which in turn reminds people of heaven and God. This color covering the city gives it an amazing charm as well as an atmosphere of relaxation, comfort and peace.

You will start exploring Chefchaouen by walking around the blue streets, enjoying the beautiful blue walls, doors, windows & amazing side shops of the old Medina with a lot of amazing photo opportunities around every corner. You will have time to taste the delicious Moroccan dishes of the north and enjoy the Plaza Uta El-Hammam atmosphere. Our lovely day ends in a Riad / or Hotel in the blue alleys of Chefchaouen.

Day Nine

Chefchaouen – Casablanca - Marrakesh

After breakfast, we will leave Chefchaouen and travel to Marrakech via Casablanca the economic city of Morocco. After a traditional Moroccan lunch we will visit Hassan II mosque in the heart of Casablanca. In the afternoon we take High way to Marrakech. Our lovely day ends in a Riad in the old medina of Marrakech to relax and spend our last night in Morocco. 

Day Ten

Farewell

After having your breakfast, you’ll check-out your Hotel and prepare for departure. Your transportation will be ready to drive you back to Marrakesh Airport for your departure.
